Northern PAWS (Protecting Animals Welfare & Shelter) is committed to promoting compassionate care, responsible pet ownership, and animal welfare throughout Canadian communities. The program supports initiatives that improve the wellbeing of companion animals while helping families experiencing financial hardship care for their pets.  

Northern PAWS works with shelters, rescue organizations, volunteers, and community partners to encourage responsible pet care, increase access to animal support services, and strengthen the connection between people and their companion animals.  

Program activities may include pet food drives, shelter partnerships, veterinary assistance, adoption events, animal rescue support, and responsible pet ownership education. These initiatives help improve the quality of life for both animals and the families who care for them.  

Northern PAWS primarily supports pet owners, animal shelters, rescue organizations, foster families, and service animal users, helping communities provide safe and compassionate care for companion animals.  

Through donations and community partnerships, Northern PAWS strengthens animal welfare, supports responsible pet ownership, and helps build healthier, more compassionate communities across Canada. Companion animals contribute to physical and mental wellbeing while strengthening family and community life.
