Russian Conversation Club for Canadians

The Russian Conversation Club is a live online speaking-focused program designed for learners who want to improve their confidence, fluency, pronunciation, listening, vocabulary, and ability to communicate naturally in Russian. This is not a traditional grammar course. The focus is on active conversation, practical communication, listening, cultural topics, and real-life speaking situations. Students should already have some basic knowledge of Russian or be able to understand simple phrases. Beginners with no previous Russian may need a separate introductory course before joining. Main Learning Goals Students will practice: Speaking with greater confidence Understanding spoken Russian Improving pronunciation Expanding practical vocabulary Responding more naturally in conversation Asking and answering questions Expressing opinions Describing experiences Participating in group discussions Understanding common everyday expressions Learning appropriate cultural communication Suggested Duration The club can run in 4 to 8-week blocks. Students can continue into additional blocks with new themes and more advanced conversation topics. Because it is a conversation club rather than a fixed academic course, students can continue for several months if they want ongoing speaking practice.
